A remarkable 65 on a rain soaked Sunday saw the Spaniard win by 6 shots.
Powering the 2017 TaylorMade M2 Driver, Rahm averaged 308 yards off the tee en route to a four day score of 24-under par. Rahm consistently set up birdie opportunities throughout the week. Utilising his TaylorMade P750 irons and taking advantage of good scoring conditions, Rahm hit 81.5% of Greens in Regulation and carded 23 birdies and 4 eagles throughout the four days.
Having switched into the TP5X golf ball early this year and seeing almost instant success on the PGA Tour, Rahm’s ball control was second to none as he tore apart the Portstewart links. Rahm will now head into Royal Birkdale ranked number 8 in the world and as a hot favourite as his form shows no signs of slowing down.
