It was a bogey-free round of 63 (-9) from South Africa’s Branden Grace that set the early pace in the WGC – HSBC Champions in Shanghai.
It was a day of low scoring from most of the field, largely due to the soft conditions, zero wind, perfect putting surfaces as well as lift, clean & place in operation. Throw the best players in the world into the equation and the result is simple…very low scoring.
